September 2026: More experimenting, fewer interruptions
Compare models in Batch, hear voice previews, explore before signing in, follow work in Live and Done, and arrange saved pieces in Canvas.

September was busy. We worked on the moments between the big features: comparing models, preparing an idea before signing in, finding a finished result, and keeping a session moving while earlier work was still running.
Try the same idea with several models
Batch became a dedicated workspace. You could use one prompt across multiple image models, choose quantities, and see the combined price. Eligible batches received a multi-model or volume discount.
Say you are developing a poster for a small film festival. You have a direction—an empty cinema, one red seat, a slightly surreal atmosphere—but you do not yet know which model will interpret it best. A batch lets you compare several approaches without re-entering the brief for each one.
This is also useful for a moodboard or an early product concept. Keep the prompt consistent, compare the results, and spend the next round on the direction worth developing.
Listen before choosing a voice
The Voiceover workspace gained playable Gemini voice samples and simpler labels. That makes a voice choice less abstract.
For a calm how-to video, you can listen for a reassuring delivery. For a playful character test, you may want something brighter. A short preview helps you choose before paying to generate your own script.
Start exploring before the account step
Guest workspaces let people prepare a prompt, settings, and reference files before signing in. Local drafts, reusable starting points, and draft export helped keep the idea available in the browser.
If a model catches your eye on the landing page, you can begin shaping a use for it rather than being asked to make an account before you have even found the controls. Signing in provides the handoff into your account; you still choose when to generate.
Keep working while the app creates
Live and Done made background work easier to follow. Live shows what is underway and the credit reserved for it. Done brings together the last 24 hours of finished work, with a badge for results you have not viewed yet.
You can prepare the next prompt, browse your Gallery, or switch tools while an earlier image or voiceover finishes. We also corrected pricing information and improved model-specific settings.
Gallery grew into a searchable archive across media types. Dedicated result pages made it easier to inspect the original prompt and settings, move between related results, and choose the next action.
Put the pieces next to each other
Canvas added a way to arrange saved images and audio on a timeline, change their order and timing, and preview the composition. You can pan, zoom, trim clips, and choose a frame shape. The project saves locally in your browser.
For an early storyboard, you could line up three images, set how long each stays on screen, and place a narration draft alongside them. Use it to check the sequence and pacing of an idea before taking it further.
The studio also gained more consistent controls and refreshed branding. Those small changes help when you move between making an image, listening to a voiceover, and finding a result you saved earlier.
